
young researcher Lili Metreveli, a doctoral candidate in the field of general and comparative literature studies at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Humanities, as well as a researcher and public relations manager at the Department of the Theory of Literature at the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature.
Lily Metreveli’s scientific interests are mythological criticism and feminist literature. The title of her PHD is: “Interpretations of the Medea Myth in Modern Georgian and German Literature”.
Lili Metreveli has six years of teaching experience in the academic institutions, she is a guest lecturer at the Faculty Psychology and Educational Sciences of the Tbilisi State University, and an assistant lecturer at the Caucasus International University holding the following courses: Introduction to Literary Studies, Theory of Literature, Basics of Artistic Style and Stylistics, World Literature – Modern Novel.
From 2019 till now, successfully coordinates the winning projects/scientific films of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia competitive grants for the promotion of science. One of them created on the theme of children’s literature is titled “Georgian Literature Worldwide“.
Lily Metreveli was the main coordinator and participant of the XXIII World Congress of Comparative Literature held in Tbilisi in 2022, as well as the manager of the winner of the UNESCO 2022-2023 “Participation Program” project “Commercialization of Literatures of Small Nations and Its Role in the Formation and Popularization of the Country’s International Authority”.
Lili held the position of manager in the project “Supporting children’s access to books”, which was organized by LEPL Creative Georgia with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia.
Lili Metreveli is a participant of a number of international scientific conferences both in Georgia and abroad, as well as the author of the materials of international conferences and articles published in high-rated journals.
