Lela Tsiphuria
PhD in Art History and Theory, researcher at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Film director, producer and critic. Published more than 100 articles about audiovisual art. Presented papers at 35 international conferences. Major field of Lela Tsiphuria’s scientific work is interdisciplinary and interest includes research of interpretation of literature on a stage and cinema. In 2016 Ivane Javkhishvili Tbilisi State University published Lela Tsiphurias Monograph “Interpretation of Georgian Prose in Audiovisual Art (On the Bases of Mikhail Javakhishvili’s Prose)”.
Lela Tsiphuria produced and directed 10 creative documentaries and 2 short movies, hosted and directed programs at Georgian TV. She was a participant of several international film festivals, her films are awarded and got various prizes. Lela Tsiphuria has also received an award in Georgia, for best article about Theatre.
