
Darejan Menabde is a Georgian literary scholar, a principal researcher at the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and a Doctor of Philology. She is also a member of the Georgian Comparative Literature Association (GCLA).
Darejan Menabde’s primary scientific interests lie in the fields of literary history and comparative literature. She is the author of over 140 scientific articles (including works in German, English, and Russian), many of which focus on topics such as Georgian fiction and historiographic writing, Georgian émigré and travel literature, literary relations and translation studies. She has delivered presentations on these subjects at numerous international conferences and symposiums. In 2016, her book Vectors of Literary Relations, primarily dedicated to comparative studies, was published in Tbilisi.
